◆PEACE RUN 2025 Taiwan(環島:台湾一周)

KAY's Cambodia to Thailand trek plan has been postponed, so as an alternative he is planning a run around Taiwan (island circumnavigation).

He'll be starting and ending in Taipei and going counterclockwise.

The whole lap is just about1,000 kilometers.

He plans to run at a leisurely pace over the course of a month. He leaves Osaka for Taipei on October 1.

Your continued support would be appreciated.

◆PEACE RUN 2025 ASIA: Part2 Cambodia-Thailand

Due to the current dispute at the border between Cambodia and Thailand, this plan has been cancelled.

KAY's next trek in Asia was planned to take him from Cambodia to Thailand, but even now, traveling overland across the Thai-Cambodian border is extremely difficult, in fact nearly impossible.

The Thai government appears to have closed major border checkpoints as a general rule, and security alert remains in place everywhere near the border.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a Level 3 travel advisory (do not travel) for the Thai-Cambodian border area.

Even after the ceasefire agreement on July 28, sporadic clashes have been reported, and the border area remains unstable. As tensions between the two countries have not been resolved, there is no prospect of border checkpoints reopening or safe overland travel.

◆PEACE RUN 2025 ASIA: Part1 Vietnam

Finally, Kay finished his trek across Vietnam at Cam Ranh International Airport on Tuesday, April 29. He ran 1350km from Ha Noi in 41 days.

See Kay's Blog for details...

PEACE RUN

The first leg of PEACE RUN ASIA was a cross-country run across Vietnam, starting in Hanoi on March 20th. It took 41 days to cover 1,350 km, and the finish line was at Cam Ranh International Airport.

Originally, Kay was supposed to finish in Ho Chi Minh City, but since the visa-free stay limit is 45 days, He didn't have enough time to reach Ho Chi Minh City, so he decided to finish in Cam Ranh, about 400 km northeast of Ho Chi Minh City.

There must be some significance in the fact that Kay was able to finish running across Vietnam just the day before the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War.

His journey across Asia still continues.

Your continuous support and cooperation would be greatly appreciated!
